The FIA and the Macau Grand Prix Organising Committee have put together an exceptional field for the third running of the FIA Formula Regional World Cup around the challenging streets of Macau on November 19-22.
Featuring a 26-car grid that includes six drivers stepping down from FIA Formula 3, reigning Formula Regional champions from Europe and the Middle East, alongside the recently-crowned champions of Japanese Super Formula Lights and Eurocup-3, the 73rd Macau Grand Prix promises extraordinary action. In addition, this year’s race marks the Macau debut of the second-generation Tatuus T-326 chassis.
In a notable shift from 2025, each of the thirteen competing teams has been restricted to a two-car entry limit. This adjustment allowed organizers to grant entries to all 10 teams participating in this year’s Formula Regional European Championship, alongside defending champions Pinnacle Motorsport, TOM’S, and traditional Macau entrants Theodore Racing.
Pinnacle Motorsport has enlisted the services of two FIA F3 talents, Hiyu Yamakoshi and Enzo Deligny, as the squad aims to defend the crown it claimed in 2025. Both drivers return to the venue with established experience, including Deligny securing a podium finish last season.
FREC championship-winning squad R-ace GP will field two members of its 2026 European roster: champion Emanuele Olivieri—who took second place in last year’s F4 World Cup at Macau—and Mercedes-AMG F1 junior Rashid Al Dhaheri. R-ace GP famously won the inaugural FR World Cup in 2024 with Ugo Ugochukwu.
