The morning warm-up session ahead of the crucial main racing action at the Autodromo do Estoril delivered intense competition among the leading WorldSBK contenders. Iker Lecuona managed to claim the top spot on the timesheets after delivering an impressive lap time around the historic circuit.
The Spanish rider successfully secured the fastest time with a razor-thin margin over his closest rival. He finished just 0.010 seconds ahead of fellow factory rider Nicolo Bulega, showcasing an early morning warning to the rest of the grid regarding their strong pace.
Both factory Ducati riders notably stood out as the exclusive competitors capable of breaking into the 1m34s bracket during the session. The Ducati Panigale V4 R machinery displayed remarkable agility and speed through the challenging layout of the Portuguese venue.

Further down the order, the remainder of the top five positions was entirely locked out by riders utilizing Italian machinery. Lorenzo Baldassarri secured the third-fastest time, followed closely by Alberto Surra and Yari Montella to complete an all-Ducati top-five lockout.
Meanwhile, Alex Lowes emerged as the fastest non-Ducati representative by grabbing sixth place aboard his machine, successfully holding off competitors like Axel Bassani and Alvaro Bautista within the top-ten bracket.
