Italian rider Nicolo Bulega delivered a masterclass performance to secure a dominant victory in Race 2 at the penultimate round of the 2026 WorldSBK season. Operating on a completely different level at the Circuito do Estoril, the Aruba.it Racing Ducati star controlled the race from the opening lap to take the chequered flag in style.
Ducati's absolute supremacy at the Portuguese venue was further underlined as Iker Lecuona charged through to claim a strong second place. However, the major drama unfolded further down the order when veteran contender Alvaro Bautista suffered a heartbreaking DNF, completely dashing his hopes of securing a podium finish in the closing stages of the weekend.
The battle for the remaining steps of the rostrum provided thrilling action for the fans watching from the grandstands. Alberto Surra put in an impressive shift to take third place for Motocorsa Racing, fending off fierce competition from Yari Montella in fourth. The Italian contingent proved exceptionally quick throughout the afternoon.

Further down the grid, Axel Bassani showcased promising development for the Bimota KB998 package by securing a solid fifth position ahead of Lorenzo Baldassarri and Garrett Gerloff. Mid-pack battles remained intense as riders fought tooth and nail for every single championship point available.
