Marc Marquez heads to the 2026 Czech MotoGP at Brno with strong momentum after securing a dominant victory at the previous round in Hungary. However, much of the attention this weekend will also focus on the increasingly intense championship battle between Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martin, who are separated by just 20 points entering round nine of the season.
Brno remains one of the most anticipated venues on the MotoGP calendar. The fast-flowing circuit, featuring long corners and significant elevation changes, will provide another major test for the championship contenders. Last season, Marquez completed a clean sweep by winning both the Sprint and Grand Prix, while Pecco Bagnaia secured pole position.
Beyond the on-track action, the Brno weekend will also attract attention due to the private post-race test for the new 850cc MotoGP machines and Pirelli tyres that will be introduced under the 2027 regulations. Selected riders will have the opportunity to evaluate the next generation of MotoGP prototypes after Sunday's race.

The outcome at Brno could play an important role in shaping the championship standings before MotoGP continues its European summer stretch. Bezzecchi remains at the top of the standings, but Martin, Fabio Di Giannantonio, Marquez, and Bagnaia all have opportunities to reduce the gap at one of the most demanding circuits on the 2026 calendar.
